John Sedgwick B.V.M.& S., M.R.C.V.S (Partner)
John followed in his fathers footsteps to become a vet. After graduating from the Royal (Dick) Veterinary College in Edinburgh in 1981, John returned to his home town of Cockermouth to join his father Jack in the family practice and has worked there ever since. In April 2010 John's practice joined forces with the existing Millcroft team to form the new Millcroft Veterinary Group. John has a strong interest in all aspects of veterinary medicine.
Rod Welford B.V.M.&S., M.R.C.V.S (Partner)
Rod graduated from Edinburgh University in 1990. During initial years working in West Cumbria he developed a strong affinity for the area and after a period working in New Zealand and North Yorkshire returned to Cockermouth to put down his roots. He has a particular interests in surgical cases as well as in herd and flock health programmes.
Ursula Bollmann B.V.Sc., M.R.C.V.S (Partner)
Ursula graduated from the University of Pretoria in 1993. Born, raised and educated in South Africa she has devoted her veterinary career to the fells of Cumbria. Ursula has a keen interest in all aspects of veterinary care and has particular interest in small animal surgery and medicine which she oversees through the Workington branch.
Clare Welford B.V.M.& S., M.R.C.V.S (Partner)
Clare graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 1990. She worked in mixed practice in Ripon, North Yorkshire for five years before moving to the Lake District.Currently Clare’s work revolves around small animals at Cockermouth. Her areas of particular interest lie in medicine cases and the care and treatment of animals with cancer.
John Boyle B.V.M.& S., M.R.C.V.S (Partner)
After qualifying from the University of Edinburgh in 1994 John worked in Aberdeenshire for a year before returning to work in his native Northern Ireland for three years in mixed practice. After a years 'walk-about' in Australia John moved to Cumbria and joined the Millcroft team in 2002. His main areas of interest lie in small animal medicine and surgery.
Andrew Robinson B.Sc.(Hons), B.V.M.S., M.R.C.V.S. (Partner)
Andrew qualified as a vet from Glasgow in 1997, having first completed a degree in Animal Sciences. He returned to Cumbria in 2002 after a spell working in Herefordshire. Andrew works mainly on the farm animal and equine side of the practice but enjoys working with all the animals that come into the practice.
